Regional Councils
Make-A-Wish Illinois is proud to have eight active Regional and Neighborhood Councils across the state. Made up of community members who serve as leadership volunteers, the Regional Councils serve as a conduit of community support for those who wish to help children with life-threatening medical conditions through Make-A-Wish.

Each council is made up of engaged community members who are responsible for promoting the Make-A-Wish Illinois mission in their community. Council members build deeper connections within their regions by partnering with schools, community organizations, healthcare providers, businesses, and local leaders. Through these relationships, they help generate local support for wish-granting, medical outreach, and volunteer recruitment efforts within their communities.
Most councils also support local fundraising events to reach targeted revenue goals. The councils organize their own events or help to secure sponsorships and participation in statewide fundraising initiatives.
